Recession Art Show and Sale 2009
[Home]

|
Details |
|
|
The arts
community in Rochester has seen an approximately 30% decline in
revenue in the areas of attendance and donations this year alone
because of the recession, crippling much of the regional and
national economy. Inspired by these current events, BWT is
launching its first fundraising program with an art show and
sale on August 15th and 16th from 2-7:30pm in order to
showcase low cost, but high quality, art and artists in the
Rochester area. We want to let our community know that in
troubling times it is still possible to go to the theatre,
listen to live music, enjoy and purchase art. Read below
and find out how you can be a part of this program.

Information for Artists |
|
|
Artists off all disciplines are
welcome and encouraged to participate in the art show and sale.
In particular we are looking for artists willing to sell their
work at a low cost or to sell work that may have more than one
function and thereby more versatile for our cash-strapped
audience. For general details on the program download this
information sheet
and fill out our enclosed form if interested in participating.
Any immediate questions can be directed to 585.271.5523 or
info@breadandwatertheatre.org.
There is a small tabling fee of $20 (or $35 if you are tabling
both days) to cover building rental as well as
other expenses.

Information for Musicians |
|
|
|
We want the Rochester community to
know that there are talented musicians all around us performing
in local clubs, coffee houses and busking in public areas of our
city. So during our art show and sale we are providing a
venue for local musicians to perform and be heard.
WE ARE CURRENTLY FULLY BOOKED FOR THE SALE -
